It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both): In the time of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), we used to buy grain, so he (peace be upon him) would appoint people over us who would instruct us that we must move the grain from the place where we bought it before selling it elsewhere.

(That is, whether it is grain or anything else, nothing should be sold to another before taking possession.)

Nafi‘ (may Allah have mercy on him) says that when Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) made a transaction with someone and had not given the option (of cancellation), he wished that the other person would not demand a return of the sale. So Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) would walk a little and then return to him.

If at the time of sale both give each other the option and they settle the deal on that, then the sale is finalized. And if after making the deal they separate and until that time neither has canceled the sale, then the sale is finalized (and cannot be revoked)."

The best among people is the one who is best in repayment.”

He used to be deceived in transactions, so the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) fixed a three-day option for him in his purchases, and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: "When making a transaction, say: 'There will be no deception.'" Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) says that I heard him (while transacting) saying «لا خلابة لا خلابة». "There will be no deception, there will be no deception."
