Hadith 629

أَنْبَأَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، " أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَعَثَنَا فِي سَرِيَّةٍ إِلَى نَجْدٍ فَأَصَابَ سَهْمُ كُلِّ رَجُلٍ مِنَّا اثْنَيْ عَشَرَ بَعِيرًا وَنَفَّلَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَعِيرًا بَعِيرًا " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) sent us with a military detachment towards Najd, so each man received twelve camels as spoils of war, and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) gave one camel each as a reward.
