Hadith 614

عَنْ مَالِكٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ دَخَلَ مَكَّةَ عَامَ الْفَتْحِ وَعَلَى رَأْسِهِ الْمِغْفَرُ ، فَلَمَّا نَزَعَهُ جَاءَهُ رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، ابْنُ خَطَلٍ مُتَعَلِّقٌ بِأَسْتَارِ الْكَعْبَةِ ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " اقْتُلُوهُ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, entered Makkah on the occasion of the conquest of Makkah in such a state that he, peace and blessings be upon him, was wearing an iron helmet. When he took it off, a man came and said, "O Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him! Ibn Khatal is clinging to the covering of the Ka'bah." So the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Kill him."
