Hadith 429

عَنْ عَمِّهِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْعَبَّاسِ , عَنْ حَسَنِ بْنِ الْقَاسِمِ الأَزْرَقِيِّ ، قَالَ : وَقَفَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى ثَنِيَّةِ تَبُوكَ فَقَالَ : " مَا هَاهُنَا شَامٌ " ، وَأَشَارَ بِيَدِهِ إِلَى جِهَةِ الشَّامِ " وَمَا هَاهُنَا يَمَنٌ " ، وَأَشَارَ بِيَدِهِ إِلَى جِهَةِ الْمَدِينَةِ .
Hasan bin Qasim Azraqi, may Allah have mercy on him, says that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood on a hillock in Tabuk and said: "What is on this side is the region of Sham," and he pointed towards Sham, "and what is on the other side of the hillock is the region of Yemen," and he pointed towards Madinah.
