Hadith 381

وَأَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَجِيدِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ ، عَنْ نَافِعِ بْنِ سَرْجِسٍ ، قَالَ : عُدْنَا أَبَا وَاقِدٍ الْبَدْرِيَّ فِي وَجَعِهِ الَّذِي مَاتَ فِيهِ فَسَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " أَخَفَّ النَّاسِ صَلاةً عَلَى النَّاسِ وَأَطْوَلَ النَّاسِ صَلاةً لِنَفْسِهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " .
It is narrated from Nafi' bin Sarjis, may Allah have mercy on him, that we went to visit Abu Waqid al-Badri during the illness in which he passed away, and I heard him saying: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to lead the common people in a light prayer, and when he prayed alone, he would perform a very lengthy prayer."
