عَنْ عَبْدُ الْمَجِيدِ ، قَالَ : ، أَنْبَأَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي مُوسَى بْنُ عُقْبَةَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْفَضْلِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي رَافِعٍ ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ ، كَرَّمَ اللَّهُ وَجْهَهُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِمِثْلِ مَعْنَاهُ إِلا أَنَّهُ كَانَ إِذَا افْتَتَحَ الصَّلاةَ قَالَ : " وَجَّهْتُ وَجْهِي " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) that he reported a similar narration from the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), with the only difference being that when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would begin the prayer, he would recite «وجهت وجهي».
