عَنْ سُفْيَانَ بْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : " نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الْمُزَابَنَةِ وَالْمُزَابَنَةُ بَيْعُ الثَّمَرِ بِالتَّمْرِ إِلا أَنَّهُ رَخَّصَ فِي الْعَرَايَا " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade the sale of Muzabana. Muzabana is the sale of fruit in exchange for fruit. However, he permitted the sale of 'Ariya.
