Hadith 132

It is narrated from Umm al-Mu'mineen Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that Umm Habibah bint Jahsh (may Allah be pleased with her) was suffering from istihada (non-menstrual bleeding). She inquired about this from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), so he (peace be upon him) said: "This is blood from a vein, not menstrual blood (i.e., do not leave prayer because of it)." Then she would perform ghusl and offer prayer. The narrator thinks that she would perform ghusl for every prayer, and when she would sit in a tub, the blood would appear on the water.
