Hadith 122

أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، " أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يُصَلِّي صَلاتَهُ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ وَأَنَا مُعْتَرِضَةٌ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ الْقِبْلَةِ كَاعْتِرَاضِ الْجِنَازَةِ " .
It is narrated from Umm al-Mu'mineen Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that indeed the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to perform his night prayer, and I would be lying between him (peace be upon him) and the Qiblah like a bier.
