Chapter: A sick person breaks the fast and does not recover until he dies, so nothing is due from him

رُوِيَ ذَلِكَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " إِذَا أَمَرْتُكُمْ بِأَمْرٍ فَأْتُوا مِنْهُ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُمْ ".
This is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both), and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When I command you to do something, do of it as much as you are able."
