أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْقَاضِي، ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ، ثنا آدَمُ بْنُ أَبِي إِيَاسٍ، ثنا شُعْبَةُ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَبِي السَّفَرِ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ حَاتِمٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الصَّيْدِ فَقُلْتُ: أُرْسِلُ كَلْبِي فَأَجِدُ مَعَ كَلْبِي كَلْبًا آخَرَ لَا أَدْرِي أَيُّهُمَا أَخَذَ. فَقَالَ: " لَا تَأْكُلْهُ فَإِنَّكَ إِنَّمَا سَمَّيْتَ عَلَى كَلْبِكَ وَلَمْ تُسَمِّ عَلَى غَيْرِهِ ". رَوَاهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ فِي الصَّحِيحِ عَنْ آدَمَ، وَأَخْرَجَهُ مُسْلِمٌ مِنْ أَوْجُهٍ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ..
Sayyiduna Adi bin Hatim (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) about game, saying: "I send my dog after game and then find another dog with it, and I do not know which of the two caught the game." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do not eat the game, for you mentioned the name of Allah when sending your own dog, not over the other dog."
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ فُورَكٍ، أنبأ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، ثنا يُونُسُ بْنُ حَبِيبٍ، ثنا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، ثنا شُعْبَةُ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، عَنْ عَدِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، أُرْسِلُ كَلْبِي عَلَى الصَّيْدِ، فَذَكَرَهُ. ⦗٤١٠⦘ أَخْرَجَهُ مُسْلِمٌ مِنْ حَدِيثِ غُنْدَرٍ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ.
Sayyiduna Adi (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I said: "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! I send my dog after game."
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو عَمْرٍو بْنُ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عِيسَى، أنبأ ابْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ، أنبأ عَاصِمٌ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ حَاتِمٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الصَّيْدِ، فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ قَالَ فِيهِ: عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " فَإِنْ خَالَطَ كَلْبُكَ كِلَابًا فَقَتَلْنَ وَلَمْ يَأْكُلْنَ لَا تَأْكُلْ مِنْهُ شَيْئًا فَإِنَّكَ لَا تَدْرِي أَيُّهَا قَتَلَ ". رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ فِي الصَّحِيحِ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَيُّوبَ، عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُبَارَكِ.
Sayyiduna Adi bin Hatim (may Allah be pleased with him) asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) about game, and he mentioned the hadith, in which it says that he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If your dog joins other dogs and they kill the game without eating from it, do not eat anything of it, for you do not know which of them killed it."
