أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، ثَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، ثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ شَاكِرٍ، ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَابِقٍ، ثَنَا عَاصِمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَجُلٌ لِابْنِ عُمَرَ: إِنَّا نَدْخُلُ عَلَى سُلْطَانِنَا فَنَقُولُ مَا نَتَكَلَّمُ بِخِلَافِهِ إِذَا خَرَجْنَا مِنْ عِنْدِهِمْ، قَالَ: " كُنَّا نَعُدُّ هَذَا نِفَاقًا " رَوَاهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ فِي الصَّحِيحِ عَنْ أَبِي نُعَيْمٍ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ.
Asim bin Muhammad reports from his father that a man said to Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both): We go in to the ruler and say things to him other than what we say in his absence. He said: We regarded this as hypocrisy.
أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ عَبْدَانَ، أَنْبَأَ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ الصَّفَّارُ، ثَنَا ابْنُ مِلْحَانَ، ثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ، ثَنَا اللَّيْثُ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ، عَنْ عِرَاكِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: " إِنَّ مِنْ شَرِّ النَّاسِ ذَا الْوَجْهَيْنِ، يَأْتِي هَؤُلَاءِ بِوَجْهٍ وَهَؤُلَاءِ بِوَجْهٍ " رَوَاهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ وَمُسْلِمٌ فِي الصَّحِيحِ عَنْ قُتَيْبَةَ، عَنِ اللَّيْثِ.
Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) says that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The worst of people is the two-faced one, who comes to these with one face and to those with another face."
