Blood money for the two eyes

قَدْ رُوِّينَا فِي الْحَدِيثِ الْمَوْصُولِ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ حَزْمٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: وَفِي الْعَيْنَيْنِ الدِّيَةُ.
A report has reached us in the connected (mawsul) hadith of Sayyiduna Amr bin Hazm (may Allah be pleased with him) from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "And for (destroying) both eyes there is the full diyah."
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ، وَأَبُو سَعِيدِ بْنُ أَبِي عَمْرٍو، وَأَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ السُّلَمِيُّ، قَالُوا: ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، ثنا أَبُو الْجَوَّابِ، ثنا عَمَّارُ بْنُ رُزَيْقٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ بْنِ خَالِدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنْ عُمَرَ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: " فِي الْأَنْفِ الدِّيَةُ إِذَا اسْتُوعِيَ جَدْعُهُ مِائَةٌ مِنَ الْإِبِلِ، وَفِي الْيَدِ خَمْسُونَ، وَفِي الرِّجْلِ خَمْسُونَ، وَفِي الْعَيْنِ ⦗١٥٢⦘ خَمْسُونَ، وَفِي الْآمَّةِ ثُلُثُ النَّفْسِ، وَفِي الْجَائِفَةِ ثُلُثُ النَّفْسِ، وَفِي الْمُنَقِّلَةِ خَمْسَ عَشْرَةَ، وَفِي الْمُوضِحَةِ خَمْسٌ، وَفِي السِّنِّ خَمْسٌ، وَفِي كُلِّ أُصْبُعٍ مِمَّا هُنَالِكَ عَشْرٌ " وَرَوَاهُ وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ بْنِ خَالِدٍ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ آلِ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: قَضَى رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَذَكَرَهُ بِزِيَادَاتٍ وَنُقْصَانٍ.
Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "When the nose is cut off from its root, there is the full diyah for it; for a hand, a foot and an eye there is half the diyah; for a head wound (reaching the brain's membrane) and a belly wound (penetrating the body cavity) there is one third of the diyah; for a wound that displaces bone there are 15 camels; for a wound that exposes the bone and for a tooth there are 5 camels each; and for each of the fingers there are 10 camels each."
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو نَصْرِ بْنُ قَتَادَةَ، أنبأ أَبُو الْفَضْلِ بْنُ خَمِيرَوَيْهِ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ نَجْدَةَ، ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، ثنا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ ضَمْرَةَ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ: وَفِي الْعَيْنِ النِّصْفُ.
Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "For an eye there is half the diyah."
