Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) says that Halah bint Khuwaylid, the sister of Sayyidah Khadijah (may Allah be pleased with her), asked permission to come in to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and he (peace and blessings be upon him) was reminded of the way Sayyidah Khadijah (may Allah be pleased with her) used to ask permission. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: 'Allahumma Halah' (O Allah! Halah!). I felt jealous and said: You keep remembering an old woman of Quraysh with red corners of the mouth, who died long ago; Allah has given you someone better than her in her place.

Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) says: I did not feel as jealous about any wife of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) as I felt about Khadijah (may Allah be pleased with her), because I had heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) mention her so much. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) married (me) three years after her death, and Allah, the Lord of Might, commanded him (peace and blessings be upon him): "Give her the glad tidings of a house of pearl in Paradise, in which there will be neither noise nor fatigue."
