A free man who marries a free woman in addition to a slave woman allots two days to the free woman and one day to the slave woman

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، أنا أَبُو سَعِيدِ بْنُ الْأَعْرَابِيِّ، نا سَعْدَانُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ، نا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى، عَنِ الْمِنْهَالِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ عَبَّادِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْأَسَدِيِّ قَالَ: قَالَ عَلِيٌّ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ: " إِذَا نُكِحَتِ الْحُرَّةُ عَلَى الْأَمَةِ فَلِهَذِهِ الثُّلُثَانِ وَلِهَذِهِ الثُّلُثُ ".
Abbad bin Abdullah al-Asadi (may Allah have mercy on him) said that Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said: When a free woman is married while there is a slave woman (as wife), two days are to be assigned to her, whereas the slave woman will be given one day.
وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ، أنا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ، نا سَعْدَانُ، نا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ، مِثْلَهُ.
Sa'id bin al-Musayyib (may Allah have mercy on him) narrated the like of it.
وَقَالَ سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ يَسَارٍ " مِنَ السُّنَّةِ أَنَّ الْحُرَّةَ إِذَا أَقَامَتْ عَلَى ضِرَارٍ فَلَهَا يَوْمَانِ وَلِلْأَمَةِ يَوْمٌ " أَخْبَرَنَاهُ أَبُو حَازِمٍ الْحَافِظُ أنا أَبُو الْفَضْلِ بْنُ خُمَيْرَوَيْهِ نا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ نَجْدَةَ نا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبِي عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ يَسَارٍ فَذَكَرَهُ.
Sulayman bin Yasar (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "The Sunnah is that when a free woman is married, two days are to be assigned to her in the turns, and one day to the slave woman."
