Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), regarding the incident of the eclipse, that he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Hell was shown to me, and I had never seen a more terrifying sight than it, and I saw that most of those in Hell were women." The Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) said: O Messenger of Allah! Why? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Because of their ingratitude." It was said: Are they ungrateful to Allah? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "They are ungrateful to their husbands and ungrateful for kindness. If you keep being kind to one of them and then some hurt reaches her from you, she says: I have never received any good from you."

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Allah, the Lord of Might, will not look with mercy at a woman who is ungrateful to her husband while she cannot do without him."
It has been reported like this as marfu' (attributed to the Prophet), but the correct view is that it is the saying of Abdullah, not marfu'.
