أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ، أنبأ أَبُو سَعِيدِ بْنُ الْأَعْرَابِيِّ بِمَكَّةَ، ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الصَّبَّاحِ الزَّعْفَرَانِيُّ، ثنا مَرْوَانُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ الْفَزَارِيُّ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ حَمْزَةَ الْعُمَرِيِّ، ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ سَعْدٍ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيَّ ⦗٣١٤⦘ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ يَقُولُ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " إِنَّ أَعْظَمَ الْأَمَانَةِ عِنْدَ اللهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ رَجُلٌ يُفْضِي إِلَى امْرَأَةٍ وَتُفْضِي إِلَيْهِ ثُمَّ يُفْشِي سِرَّهَا "، رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ فِي الصَّحِيحِ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، عَنْ مَرْوَانَ.
Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The greatest trust in the sight of Allah on the Day of Resurrection is that a man goes in to his wife and she goes in to him (i.e. they are intimate), and then he discloses her secret."
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْمُقْرِئُ، أنبأ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، ثنا يُوسُفُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ، ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ، ثنا الْجُرَيْرِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي شَيْخٌ مِنَ الطُّفَاوَةِ قَالَ: أَتَيْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ بِالْمَدِينَةِ، فَلَمْ أَرَ رَجُلًا مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَشَدَّ تَشْمِيرًا، وَلَا أَقْوَمَ عَلَى ضَيْفٍ مِنْهُ، سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ: نَهَضْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ حَتَّى أَتَى مَقَامَهُ الَّذِي يُصَلِّي فِيهِ قَالَ: وَخَلْفَهُ صَفَّانِ مِنْ رِجَالٍ، وَصَفٌّ مِنْ نِسَاءٍ، أَوْ صَفَّانِ مِنْ نِسَاءٍ، وَصَفٌّ مِنْ رِجَالٍ، فَأَقْبَلَ عَلَيْنَا بِوَجْهِهِ، فَقَالَ: " إِنْ نَسَّانِيَ الشَّيْطَانُ شَيْئًا مِنْ صَلَاتِي، فَلْيُسَبِّحِ الرِّجَالُ، وَلْتُصَفِّقِ النِّسَاءُ "، فَصَلَّى رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَلَمْ يَنْسَ شَيْئًا مِنْ صَلَاتِهِ فَقَالَ: " مَجَالِسَكُمْ مَجَالِسَكُمْ مَا مِنْكُمْ رَجُلٌ يَسْتَتِرُ بِسِتْرِ اللهِ إِذَا أَتَى أَهْلَهُ أَغْلَقَ عَلَيْهِ بَابَهُ، وَأَلْقَى عَلَيْهِ سِتْرَهُ "، قَالُوا: إِنَّا لَنَفْعَلُ ذَلِكَ قَالَ: " ثُمَّ يَجْلِسُ، فَيَقُولُ: فَعَلْتُ بِصَاحِبَتِي كَذَا وَفَعَلْتُ كَذَا "، فَسَكَتُوا، فَقَالَ: " هَلْ مِنْكُنَّ مَنْ تَفْعَلُ ذَلِكَ؟ " قَالَ: فَسَكَتْنَ، فَجَثَتْ فَتَاةٌ أَحْسَبُهُ قَالَ: كَعَابٌ عَلَى إِحْدَى رُكْبَتَيْهَا، فَتَطَاوَلَتْ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِيَرَاهَا، فَقَالَتْ: إِي وَاللهِ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّهُمْ لَيَتَحَدَّثُونَ وَإِنَّهُنَّ لَيَتَحَدَّثْنَ، فَقَالَ: " هَلْ تَدْرُونَ مَا مَثَلُ مَنْ فَعَلَ ذَلِكَ؟ مَثَلُ الشَّيْطَانِ وَالشَّيْطَانَةِ لَقِيَ أَحَدُهُمَا صَاحِبَهُ فِي سِكَّةٍ، فَقَضَى مِنْهَا حَاجَتَهُ وَالنَّاسُ يَنْظُرُونَ، وَقَالَ: أَلَا لَا يُفْضِيَنَّ رَجُلٌ إِلَى رَجُلٍ، وَلَا امْرَأَةٌ إِلَى امْرَأَةٍ، إِلَّا إِلَى وَلَدٍ أَوْ وَالِدٍ "، وَقَالَ الثَّالِثَةُ، فَنَسِيتُهَا، ثُمَّ قَالَ: " إِنَّ طِيبَ الرِّجَالِ مَا وُجِدَ رِيحُهُ وَلَمْ يَظْهَرْ لَوْنُهُ، أَلَا إِنَّ طِيبَ النِّسَاءِ مَا ظَهَرَ لَوْنُهُ وَلَمْ يُوجَدْ رِيحُهُ ".
An elder from (the tribe of) Tufawah said: I came to Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) in Madinah, and I did not see any man more energetic than him, nor anyone more hospitable to a guest. He said: I set off with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) until he came to the place where he (peace and blessings be upon him) used to pray. He said: Behind him (peace and blessings be upon him) were two rows of men and one row of women, or two rows of women and one row of men. He (peace and blessings be upon him) turned towards us and said: "If Satan makes me forget anything in my prayer, let the men say 'Subhan Allah' (Glory be to Allah) and let the women clap." The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) led the prayer and did not forget anything in it. Then he said: "Stay in your places, stay in your places. Is there any man among you who, when he goes to his wife, closes the door and draws the curtain?" The Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) said: We do that. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Then he sits (among people) and says: I did such and such with my wife?" The Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) remained silent. The narrator said: He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Is there any woman among you who has done this?" The narrator said: The women also remained silent. A young girl, I think he said a girl with budding breasts, knelt on one of her knees and raised herself so that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) could see her, and said: By Allah, O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! The men do talk about it, and so do the women. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do you know what the likeness of one who does that is? They are like a male devil and a female devil who meet each other in a street and fulfil their desire while people are watching." And he said: "No man should lie (uncovered) with another man, nor a woman with another woman, except with a child or a parent."
The narrator said: I have forgotten the third thing. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The perfume of men is that whose scent is noticed and whose colour does not show, and the perfume of women is that whose colour shows and whose scent is not noticed."

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ بْنُ بِشْرَانَ، أنبأ أَبُو عَمْرِو بْنُ السَّمَّاكِ، ثنا حَنْبَلُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عِيسَى الْمِصْرِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ أَبِي السَّمْحِ، عَنْ أَبِي الْهَيْثَمِ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " الشِّيَاعُ حَرَامٌ " قَالَ حَنْبَلٌ: قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ يَعْنِي أَحْمَدَ بْنَ حَنْبَلِ: ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ يَقُولُ: الشِّيَاعُ يَعْنِي الْمُفَاخَرَةُ بِالْجِمَاعِ قَالَ: وَقَالَ ابْنُ وَهْبٍ: السِّبَاعُ يُرِيدُ جُلُودَ السِّبَاعِ.
Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id (may Allah be pleased with him) said that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Boasting about intercourse is unlawful (haram)." Ibn Wahb (may Allah have mercy on him) said that "siba'" means the skins of predatory animals.
