Urwah bin al-Zubayr (may Allah have mercy on him) says: I met Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) and proposed marriage to his daughter. He said to me: "The son of Abu Abdullah? Indeed, the son of Abu Abdullah is worthy of marriage. We praise our Lord and send blessings upon our Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and we marry you on what Allah has commanded: 'Retaining (her) in kindness or releasing (her) with good treatment' [Surah al-Baqarah: 229]."
