أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، أنبأ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، ثنا أَبُو زَكَرِيَّا يَحْيَى بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الشَّهِيدُ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ يُونُسَ، ثنا زُهَيْرُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَنَسًا يَقُولُ: دَعَا رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْأَنْصَارَ لِيَكْتُبَ لَهُمْ إِلَى الْبَحْرَيْنِ، فَقَالُوا: لَا وَاللهِ حَتَّى تَكْتُبَ لِإِخْوَانِنَا مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ بِمِثْلِهَا، فَقَالَ لَهُمْ ذَلِكَ مَا شَاءَ اللهُ، كُلُّ ذَلِكَ يَقُولُونَ ذَلِكَ، قَالَ: " فَإِنَّكُمْ سَتَرَوْنَ بَعْدِي أَثَرَةً؛ فَاصْبِرُوا حَتَّى تَلْقَوْنِي " رَوَاهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ فِي الصَّحِيحِ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ يُونُسَ وَرَوَاهُ بَعْضُهُمْ عَنْ يَحْيَى فَقَالَ فِي الْحَدِيثِ: أَقْطَعَ الْأَنْصَارَ الْبَحْرَيْنَ، وَأَرَادَ أَنْ يَكْتُبَ لَهُمْ بِهَا كِتَابًا.
Yahya bin Sa'id says that he heard Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) say that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) called the Ansar in order to write a deed for them for land in Bahrain. They said: By Allah! We will not take it until you do the same for our brothers from Quraysh. He (peace and blessings be upon him) kept saying that to them for as long as Allah willed, and each time they said the same. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, after me you will see others being given preference over you, so be patient until you meet me."
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الصَّغَانِيُّ، ثنا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، ثنا أَبُو أُوَيْسٍ، حَدَّثَنِي كَثِيرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَوْفٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَقْطَعَ بِلَالَ بْنَ الْحَارِثِ الْمُزَنِيَّ مَعَادِنَ الْقَبَلِيَّةِ جَلْسِيَّهَا وَغَوْرِيَّهَا وَحَيْثُ يَصْلُحُ الزَّرْعُ مِنْ قُدْسٍ، وَلَمْ يُعْطِهِ حَقَّ مُسْلِمٍ، وَكَتَبَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ، هَذَا مَا أَعْطَى مُحَمَّدٌ رَسُولُ اللهِ بِلَالَ بْنَ الْحَارِثِ أَعْطَاهُ مَعَادِنَ الْقَبَلِيَّةِ جَلْسِيَّهَا وَغَوْرِيَّهَا حَيْثُ يَصْلُحُ الزَّرْعُ مِنْ قُدْسٍ، وَلَمْ يُعْطِهِ حَقَّ مُسْلِمٍ ".
Kathir bin Abdullah bin Amr bin Awf narrates from his father, and he from his grandfather (Amr bin Awf (may Allah be pleased with him)), that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) gave Bilal bin al-Harith al-Muzani (may Allah be pleased with him) a share of the old mines, the low-lying part, and the cultivable land of Quds, and he did not give him the right of any Muslim. And the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) wrote a document for him: 'Bismillahir-Rahmanir-Rahim' (In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful). "This is a grant from Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) to Bilal bin al-Harith. He (peace and blessings be upon him) gave him some land from these old mines, the low-lying land and the cultivable land, but he did not give him the right of any Muslim."
وَأَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ، ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدٌ، ثنا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، ثنا أَبُو أُوَيْسٍ، عَنْ ثَوْرِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ مَوْلَى بَنِي الدِّيلِ بْنِ بَكْرِ بْنِ كِنَانَةَ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِثْلَهُ.
The like of the previous narration is reported from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both).
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ الْقَطَّانُ، أنبأ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، ثنا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ، ثنا سُلَيْمَانُ، ثنا عُمَرُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ مُقَدَّمٍ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ: دَخَلْتُ عَلَى مُعَاوِيَةَ، فَقَالَ لِي: " مَا فَعَلَ الْمَسْلُولُ؟ قَالَ: قُلْتُ: هُوَ عِنْدِي، فَقَالَ: أَنَا وَاللهِ خَطَطْتُهُ بِيَدِي، أَقْطَعَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ الزُّبَيْرَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا أَرْضًا، فَكُنْتُ أَكْتُبُهَا، قَالَ: فَجَاءَ عُمَرُ، فَأَخَذَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ يَعْنِي الْكِتَابَ، فَأَدْخَلَهُ فِي ثِنْيِ الْفِرَاشِ، فَدَخَلَ عُمَرُ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ فَقَالَ: كَأَنَّكُمْ عَلَى حَاجَةٍ؟ فَقَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ: نَعَمْ، فَخَرَجَ، فَأَخْرَجَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْكِتَابَ فَأَتْمَمْتُهُ ".
The father of Hisham bin Urwah says: I went to Sayyiduna Mu'awiyah (may Allah be pleased with him). He said to me: "What became of the sword?" I said: "It is with me." He said: "I made it with my own hand." Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) gave land to Sayyiduna al-Zubayr (may Allah be pleased with him), and I was the one writing it. Then Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) came, so Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) took the document and put it in a fold of the bedding. Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) came in and said: "Were you busy with some matter?" Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Yes." He left, then Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) took out the document and I completed it.
