أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، أنبأ الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، أنبأ الشَّافِعِيُّ، أنبأ مَالِكٌ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " أَمَرَ بِقَتْلِ الْكِلَابِ ".
It is narrated from Nafi' that Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) "ordered that dogs be killed."
وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، أَخْبَرَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ الْقَاضِي، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ السَّلَامِ الْوَرَّاقُ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى قَالَ: قَرَأْتُ عَلَى مَالِكٍ فَذَكَرَهُ. رَوَاهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ فِي الصَّحِيحِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ يُوسُفَ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ وَرَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ يَحْيَى.
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) "ordered that dogs be killed." Imam al-Bukhari (may Allah have mercy on him) recorded this same hadith from Abdullah bin Yusuf from Malik, and Imam Muslim (may Allah have mercy on him) from Yahya bin Yahya.
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ بْنُ بِشْرَانَ، أنبأ إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الصَّفَّارُ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أنبأ مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " أَمَرَ بِقَتْلِ الْكِلَابِ بِالْمَدِينَةِ، فَأُخْبِرَ بِامْرَأَةٍ لَهَا كَلْبٌ فِي نَاحِيَةِ الْمَدِينَةِ فَأَرْسَلَ إِلَيْهَا، فَقُتِلَ ".
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said that in Madinah the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) "ordered that dogs be killed." He (peace and blessings be upon him) was informed that a certain woman in Madinah had a dog, so he (peace and blessings be upon him) sent a man there and had the dog killed.
