Ubayd bin Umayr asked Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both): Why is it that I see you touching only these two corners and not touching any others? He said: If I do so, it is because I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Touching these two wipes away sins." He said: And I also heard him (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Whoever performs seven circuits and offers two rak'ahs, he has a reward equal to freeing a slave; and whoever lifts one foot and puts down the other, Allah Almighty will write a good deed for him, erase a sin, and raise him a rank."
