أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الرُّوذْبَارِيُّ، أنبأ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ، ثنا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ الْأَنْبَارِيُّ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ سُلَيْمٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ خُثَيْمٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الطُّفَيْلِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ " أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ اضْطَبَعَ فَاسْتَلَمَ فَكَبَّرَ، ثُمَّ رَمَلَ ثَلَاثَةَ أَطْوَافٍ، وَكَانُوا إِذَا بَلَغُوا الرُّكْنَ الْيَمَانِيَّ وَتَغَيَّبُوا مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ مَشَوْا، ثُمَّ يَطْلُعُونَ عَلَيْهِمْ فَيَرْمُلُونَ تَقُولُ قُرَيْشٌ كَأَنَّهُمُ الْغِزْلَانُ " قَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ: فَكَانَتْ سُنَّةً.
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performed idtiba' (baring one shoulder while in ihram is called idtiba'), touched (the Black Stone) and said the takbir. Then he jogged three circuits, and when they reached the Yamani Corner and were out of sight of Quraysh, they would walk normally; then when they came into their view again, they would jog. Quraysh said: "They are like gazelles." Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: So it became a Sunnah.
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، أنبأ أَبُو بَكْرٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ حَمْدَانَ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ، يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، حَدَّثَنِي إِسْمَاعِيلُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عُلَيَّةَ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، قَالَ: كَانَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ قَالَ: " ثُمَّ يَدْخُلُ مَكَّةَ ضُحًى فَيَأْتِي الْبَيْتَ فَيَسْتَلِمُ الْحَجَرَ وَيَقُولُ: بِاسْمِ اللهِ وَاللهُ أَكْبَرُ ".
Nafi' (may Allah have mercy on him) said that Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) would enter Makkah in the forenoon, come to the House, touch (the Black Stone) and say: 'Bismillah wallahu akbar' (In the name of Allah, and Allah is the Greatest).
وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ فُورَكٍ، أنبأ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، ثنا يُونُسُ بْنُ حَبِيبٍ، ثنا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، ثنا الْمَسْعُودِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنِ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ أَنَّهُ كَانَ إِذَا مَرَّ بِالْحَجَرِ الْأَسْوَدِ فَرَأَى عَلَيْهِ زِحَامًا اسْتَقْبَلَهُ وَكَبَّرَ وَقَالَ: " اللهُمَّ تَصْدِيقًا بِكِتَابِكَ وَسُنَّةِ نَبِيِّكَ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ".
Whenever Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) passed by the Black Stone and saw a crowd there, he would face it, say the takbir and say: 'Allahumma tasdiqan bi-kitabika wa sunnati nabiyyika (peace and blessings be upon him)' (O Allah, affirming the truth of Your Book and carrying out the Sunnah of Your Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)).
وَرُوِيَ مِنْ وَجْهٍ آخَرَ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنِ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَقُولُ إِذَا اسْتَلَمَ الْحَجَرَ: " اللهُمَّ إِيمَانًا بِكَ، وَتَصْدِيقًا بِكِتَابِكَ، وَاتِّبَاعًا لِسُنَّةِ نَبِيِّكَ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " أَخْبَرَنَاهُ أَبُو نَصْرِ بْنُ قَتَادَةَ، أنبأ أَبُو الْحَسَنِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ السَّرَّاجُ، ثنا مُطَيَّنٌ، ثنا أَبُو بِلَالٍ الْأَشْعَرِيُّ، ثنا شَرِيكٌ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ: وَحَدَّثَنَا مُطَيَّنٌ، ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الشَّافِعِيُّ، ثنا حَفْصُ بْنُ غِيَاثٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْعُمَيْسِ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنِ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ بِذَلِكَ.
Whenever Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) touched the Black Stone, he would say: 'Allahumma imanan bika, wa tasdiqan bi-kitabika, wa ittiba'an li-sunnati nabiyyika (peace and blessings be upon him)' (O Allah, believing in You, affirming the truth of Your Book, and following the Sunnah of Your Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) (I touch this)).
