أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عِيسَى بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، ثنا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ، ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ثنا أَبُو خَالِدٍ الْأَحْمَرُ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ قَالَ: رَأَيْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ اسْتَلَمَ الْحَجَرَ بِيَدِهِ وَقَبَّلَ يَدَهُ، وَقَالَ: " مَا تَرَكْتُهُ مُنْذُ رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَفْعَلُهُ " رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ فِي الصَّحِيحِ عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ.
Nafi' (may Allah have mercy on him) narrated: I saw Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) touch the Black Stone with his hand and kiss his hand, and he said: "I have not abandoned it since I saw the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) doing it."
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، وَأَبُو سَعِيدِ بْنُ أَبِي عَمْرٍو قَالَا: ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ، أنبأ عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ بْنُ عَطَاءٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، قَالَ: " رَأَيْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ وَأَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ وَأَبَا سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيَّ، وَابْنَ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمْ إِذَا اسْتَلَمُوا الْحَجَرَ قَبَّلُوا أَيْدِيَهُمْ " قَالَ ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ: فَقُلْتُ لِعَطَاءٍ: وَابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ: وَابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ حَسِبْتُ كَثِيرًا.
Ata said: I saw Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him), Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) and Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him): when they touched the Black Stone, they would kiss their hands.
Ibn Jurayj said: I said to Ata: "And Ibn Abbas?" He said: "And Ibn Abbas too, many times, I think."
