باب: الشهر يخرج في حساب الصائمين ثماني وعشرين فيقضون يوما واحدا

اسْتِدْلَالًا بِمَا مَضَى فِي حَدِيثِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ.
Drawing evidence from the hadith of Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that has already passed.
وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْفَارِسِيُّ، أنبأ إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ، أنبأ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ فَارِسٍ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ الْبُخَارِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، ثنا حُمَيْدٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْأَصَمَّ الْكُوفِيَّ، سَمِعَ الْوَلِيدَ، قَالَ: صُمْنَا عَلَى عَهْدِ عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ ثَمَانِيَةً وَعِشْرِينَ يَوْمًا فَأَمَرَنَا بِقَضَاءِ يَوْمٍ.
Humayd (may Allah have mercy on him) says that he heard al-Walid (may Allah have mercy on him) say: We fasted twenty-eight days in the time of Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him), so he ordered us to make up one day.
