Ya'qub bin Ibrahim (may Allah have mercy on him) said: I heard my father relate from Muhammad bin Ishaq (may Allah have mercy on him) about the words "There is to be no jalab and no janab": its intent is that the zakah of grazing livestock is to be taken at their own place and they are not to be driven to the collector; and what is meant by janab, in the same way, is that their owners should not take them off to one side, and that they should not be moved aside and far away from the place of the zakah collectors; rather, their zakah is to be taken at the very place where they live.
