Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) saw a silk garment (hullah) in the market. He took it and brought it to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah, buy this and adorn yourself with it for the Eid and for the delegation. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "This is the clothing of those who have no share in the Hereafter." Then Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) stayed as long as Allah willed. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent him a silk cloak (jubbah), so Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) brought that cloak to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: You said that this is the clothing of those who have no share in the Hereafter? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Sell it, or use it to meet your need."
