أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ، أنبأ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ، أنبأ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عِيسَى، وَأَبُو طَاهِرٍ، وَحَرْمَلَةُ قَالُوا: ثنا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي مَخْرَمَةُ بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ: " أَنَّهُ كَانَ إِذَا اسْتَجْمَرَ اسْتَجْمَرَ بِالْأَلُوَّةِ غَيْرَ مُطَرَّاةٍ وَبِكَافُورٍ يَطْرَحُهُ مَعَ الْأَلُوَّةِ، ثُمَّ قَالَ: " هَكَذَا كَانَ يَسْتَجْمِرُ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ". رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ فِي الصَّحِيحِ، عَنِ ابْنِ الطَّاهِرِ وَأَحْمَدَ بْنِ عِيسَى، وَرَوَاهُ ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ عَنْ بُكَيْرِ بْنِ الْأَشَجِّ مُقَيَّدًا بِيَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ.
Nafi' narrates from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that when he perfumed himself with incense, he would burn aloeswood (aluwwah) without mixing other scents with it, and he would also burn camphor together with the aloeswood. Then he would say: "This is how the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to perfume himself with incense."
حَدَّثَنَاهُ أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، أنبأ أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ فِرَاسٌ الْمَالِكِيُّ بِمَكَّةَ، ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَجْبٍ الْأَنْبَارِيُّ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ، ثنا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ لَهِيعَةَ، عَنْ بُكَيْرٍ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ: " كَانَ إِذَا اسْتَجْمَرَ اسْتَجْمَرَ لِلْجُمُعَةِ بِعُودٍ غَيْرِ مُطَرٍّ، وَعَلَا عَلَيْهِ بِالْكَافُورِ، وَيَقُولُ: " هَذَا بَخُورُ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ". وَرُوِّينَا فِيمَا مَضَى عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّهُ دُعِيَ إِلَى سَعِيدِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ وَهُوَ يَسْتَجْمِرُ لِلْجُمُعَةِ.
Nafi' narrates from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that when he perfumed himself on Friday, he would burn incense of aloeswood ('ud) without mixing any other scent with it, but he would add camphor to it, and he would say: This is the perfume of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him).
