باب: كراهية الجلوس في وسط الحلقة لما فيه والله أعلم من تخطي رقاب الناس مع سوء الأدب وترك الحشمة.
It is disliked to sit in the middle of a circle, as it involves, and Allah knows best, stepping over people's necks along with bad manners and lack of decorum

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الرُّوذْبَارِيُّ، أنبأ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ، ثنا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، ثنا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، ثنا أَبَانُ، ثنا قَتَادَةُ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو مِجْلَزٍ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ: " أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَعَنَ مَنْ جَلَسَ وَسَطَ الْحَلْقَةِ ".
Sayyiduna Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) "cursed the one who sits in the middle of the circle of a gathering."
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ فُورَكٍ، أنبأ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، ثنا يُونُسُ بْنُ حَبِيبٍ، ثنا أَبُو دَاوُدَ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ، ثنا هَمَّامٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي مِجْلَزٍ، أَنَّ رَجُلًا أَتَى حُذَيْفَةَ فَقَالَ: أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّ فُلَانًا مَاتَ، قَالَ: " إِنَّ الَّذِي أَمَاتَهُ قَادِرٌ عَلَى أَنْ يُمِيتَكَ "، فَجَلَسَ وَسَطَ الْحَلْقَةِ، فَقَالَ لَهُ: " قُمْ، فَإِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَعَنَ الَّذِي يَجْلِسُ وَسَطَ الْحَلْقَةِ ". قَالَ الشَّيْخُ: يُحْتَمَلُ أَنْ يَكُونَ قَدْ عَرَفَ مِنْهُ نِفَاقًا، وَأَنَّهُ إِنَّمَا فَعَلَ ذَلِكَ قَصْدًا إِلَى تَرْكِ الْحِشْمَةِ وَقِلَّةِ الْمُبَالِاةِ بِأَهْلِ الْحَلْقَةِ.
Abu Mijlaz (may Allah have mercy on him) said: A man came to Sayyiduna Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) and said: Do you not know that so-and-so has died? He said: Allah, who caused him to die, is able to cause you to die as well. The man sat down in the middle of the gathering. Sayyiduna Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Get up, for "the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) cursed the one who sits in the middle of the circle."
وَقَدْ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ فُورَكٍ، أنبأ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، ثنا يُونُسُ بْنُ حَبِيبٍ، ثنا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، ثنا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ لَاحِقِ بْنِ حُمَيْدٍ وَهُوَ أَبُو مِجْلَزٍ، أَنَّ رَجُلًا قَعَدَ وَسَطَ الْحَلْقَةِ، فَقَالَ حُذَيْفَةُ: " مَلْعُونٌ عَلَى لِسَانِ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، أَوْ قَالَ: إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَعَنَ الَّذِي يَجْلِسُ وَسَطَ الْحَلْقَةِ ".
Abu Mijlaz (may Allah have mercy on him) said: A man sat down in the middle of the gathering, so Sayyiduna Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "He is cursed upon the tongue of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him)," or he said: "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) cursed the one who sits in the middle of the gathering."
