أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ الْمُزَكِّي، ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، أنبأ الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ سَلْمَانَ، ثنا الشَّافِعِيُّ، أنبا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ أَبِي رَبَاحٍ قَالَ: قُلْتُ لِابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ: " أَقْصُرُ إِلَى عَرَفَةَ؟ قَالَ: لَا، وَلَكِنْ إِلَى جُدَّةَ وَعُسْفَانَ وَالطَّائِفِ، وَإِنْ قَدِمْتَ عَلَى أَهْلٍ أَوْ مَاشِيَةٍ فَأَتِمَّ ".
Ata' bin Abi Rabah (may Allah have mercy on him) said: I asked Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both): "Should I shorten the prayer (travelling) to Arafah?" He said: "No; but (travelling) to Jeddah, Usfan and Ta'if (you may); and when you reach your family or your livestock, then pray the complete prayer."
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ بْنُ أَبِي الْمَعْرُوفِ الْفَقِيهُ، أنبأ أَبُو عَمْرِو بْنِ نُجَيْدٍ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، ثنا أُمَيَّةُ، ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ، ثنا رَوْحُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ، عَنْ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ أَبِي رَبَاحٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّهُ أَتَاهُ رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ: أَقْصُرُ مِنْ مُرَّ؟ قَالَ: لَا، قَالَ: أَقْصُرُ مِنْ عَرَفَاتٍ؟ قَالَ: لَا، قَالَ: أَقْصُرُ مِنْ جُدَّةَ؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ، قَالَ: مِنَ الطَّائِفِ؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ، قَالَ: فَإِذَا أَتَيْتَ أَهْلَكَ أَوْ مَاشِيَتَكَ فَأَتِمَّ الصَّلَاةَ ".
Ata' bin Abi Rabah reports from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that a man came to him and said: "Should I shorten the prayer from (a place called) Murr?" He said: "No." He said: "Should I shorten from Arafat?" He said: "No." He asked: "Should I shorten from Jeddah?" He said: "Yes." He asked: "From Ta'if?" He said: "Yes," and he said: "When you come to your family or your livestock, pray the complete prayer."
