Sayyiduna Itban bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came to his house and did not sit down. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Where would you like me to pray in your house?" Sayyiduna Itban bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I pointed to a place, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said 'Allahu akbar' (Allah is the Greatest); we formed rows behind him (peace and blessings be upon him), and he (peace and blessings be upon him) prayed two rak'ahs.
(b) In the narration of Ibrahim there is something additional: He (peace and blessings be upon him) came to me at midday, and Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) was also with him.

Sayyiduna Itban bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: "My eyesight has failed, and the (rain) flood comes and becomes an obstacle between me and the mosque. May Allah have mercy on you (peace and blessings be upon him); if you (peace and blessings be upon him) would come to my house and pray in a place, I will then pray in that place." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I will do so." The next day at midday the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) came. He (peace and blessings be upon him) asked permission and I granted it. He (peace and blessings be upon him) did not sit, but rather he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Where would you like me to pray in your house?" I pointed to the place where I wished him (peace and blessings be upon him) to pray. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said 'Allahu akbar', and we too formed rows behind him (peace and blessings be upon him), and he (peace and blessings be upon him) led us in two rak'ahs.

Thabit narrates from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came to us, and in the house were I, my mother and my maternal aunt Sayyidah Umm Haram (may Allah be pleased with her). He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Stand up, so that I may lead you in prayer." It was not the time of a prayer. A man said to Thabit: Where did Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) stand? He said: On his (peace and blessings be upon him) right side. Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) supplicated for the household for the good things of this world and the Hereafter. My mother said: O Messenger of Allah, this is your (peace and blessings be upon him) little servant; supplicate for him too. So he (peace and blessings be upon him) supplicated for me for every good. The last supplication he (peace and blessings be upon him) made for me was: 'Allahumma akthir malahu wa waladahu, wa barik lahu fihi' (O Allah, increase his wealth and children, and bless him in it).

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: I spent the night with my maternal aunt Sayyidah Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) stood up at night to pray. I stood on his (peace and blessings be upon him) left side to pray with him; he (peace and blessings be upon him) took hold of me and moved me to his right side.
