أنبأ أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الرُّوذْبَارِيُّ، أنبأ أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ دَاسَةَ، ثنا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، ثنا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ (ح) وَأنبأ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ عَبْدُ اللهِ، أنبأ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ، ثنا حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى أَنَّ ابْنَ وَهْبٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي يُونُسُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ: " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُسَبِّحُ عَلَى الرَّاحِلَةِ قِبَلَ أِيِّ وَجْهٍ تَوَجَّهَ، وَيُوتِرُ عَلَيْهَا، غَيْرَ أَنَّهُ لَا يُصَلِّي عَلَيْهَا الْمَكْتُوبَةَ " لَيْسَ فِي حَدِيثِ أَبِي دَاوُدَ " قِبَلَ " رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ فِي الصَّحِيحِ، عَنْ حَرْمَلَةَ وَقَدْ أَخْرَجْتُهُ عَالِيًا فِيمَا مَضَى.
Salim bin Abdullah narrates from his father (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to pray on his riding animal in whichever direction it faced, and would also pray witr on the riding animal, except for the obligatory prayer. In the hadith of Abu Dawud the word 'qibala' (towards) does not occur.
وَأنبأ أَبُو الْحَسَنِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ دَاوُدَ الْعَلَوِيُّ أنبأ أَبُو حَامِدِ بْنُ الشَّرْقِيِّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الذُّهْلِيُّ، ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ مَسْعَدَةَ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، " أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللهِ، كَانَ يُصَلِّي عَلَى بَعِيرِهِ حَيْثُ تَوَجَّهَ بِهِ، وَأَخْبَرَهُمْ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَفْعَلُ ذَلِكَ، وَأَنَّ عَبْدَ اللهِ كَانَ يُوتِرُ عَلَى بَعِيرِهِ ".
Nafi' (may Allah have mercy on him) said that Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) used to pray voluntary prayer on his camel in whichever direction it faced, and he told them that he (peace and blessings be upon him) used to do so, and Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) used to pray witr on his camel.
