Ikrimah (may Allah have mercy on him) relates that when Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) was afflicted with an eye disease, he was told: You will have to rest for seven days and also perform the prayer lying on your back. Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) disliked this and said: This hadith has reached me: "Whoever does not pray despite being able to, when he meets Allah Almighty, Allah will be angry with him."
