Urwah narrates that Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: The sun was eclipsed, so he (peace and blessings be upon him) stood up and recited a long surah, then bowed for a long time, then raised his head from the bowing and began another surah. Then, after completing that surah, he bowed and then prostrated. After that he did the same in the second rak'ah. Then he said: "These (the sun and the moon) are signs of Allah. When you see something like this, then pray until it is removed from you. Indeed, in this standing of mine I have seen everything that you have been promised. And I saw myself, when you saw me stepping forward, at that time I wanted to take a bunch (of grapes) from Paradise. And I also saw Hell, parts of it consuming other parts, at the time when you saw me stepping back. And in Hell I saw Amr bin Luhayy; he is that wretch who laid the foundation of the innovation of setting animals free in the name of idols."

Hadith Takhrij«صحيح۔ سبأتي تخريجه في كتاب صلاة الكسوف»
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the sun was eclipsed in the time of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). He mentioned the complete hadith about the eclipse prayer. In it, it says that he (peace and blessings be upon him) stepped back from his place of prayer and the people stepped back with him (peace and blessings be upon him). Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) stepped forward and the people also stepped forward.
(b) This complete hadith, if Allah wills, is coming in "The Book of the Eclipse Prayer."

(a) Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: I came while the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was praying in the house, and the door was shut. He (peace and blessings be upon him) walked over, opened the door for me, and then went back and stood in his place. Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: The door was in the direction of the qiblah.
(b) These are the words of the hadith of Bishr. In the hadith of Ali bin Asim, Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: The door was in the direction of the qiblah of this mosque of ours. I knocked to have the door opened, so he (peace and blessings be upon him) walked over while he (peace and blessings be upon him) was praying. He (peace and blessings be upon him) opened the door and went back to his place.

(a) Al-Azraq bin Qays narrates: We were in al-Ahwaz (the settlements lying between Iran and Basrah), fighting the Kharijites, and I was sitting on the bank of a river. Meanwhile a man (Abu Barzah al-Aslami, may Allah be pleased with him) began to pray holding the reins of his horse in his hand. The horse began to pull him, and he began to follow it.
(b) Shu'bah said: That man was Abu Barzah al-Aslami (may Allah be pleased with him). Seeing this, one of the Kharijites began to say: O Allah, ruin this old man! When he (may Allah be pleased with him) finished the prayer, he said: I heard what you said. I have taken part in six, seven or eight military expeditions with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and I have seen the ease he (peace and blessings be upon him) used to show the people. I prefer to return with my horse rather than leave it to go wherever it wishes and afterwards suffer hardship.

Al-Azraq bin Qays narrates: We were fighting the Kharijites in "al-Ahwaz" alongside al-Muhallab bin Abi Sufrah. Sayyiduna Abu Barzah al-Aslami (may Allah be pleased with him) came, holding the reins of his horse, and he began to pray. Suddenly the mount slipped from his hands and set off in the direction of the qiblah. Sayyiduna Abu Barzah (may Allah be pleased with him) went after it until he caught it, then came back walking backwards. Thereupon a Kharijite began to say: Look at this old man; he has left his prayer and gone to catch his mount. Al-Azraq said: When Sayyiduna Abu Barzah (may Allah be pleased with him) completed the prayer, he came to him and said: I have fought seven battles with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and I am an old man. Had this mount of mine gone off, I would have been in trouble; that is why I did what you saw. Al-Azraq said: We said to that man: You have reviled a Companion of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him); Allah will surely repay you for it.
