Sayyiduna al-Mughirah bin Shu'bah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: I was with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) on a journey, and when he (peace and blessings be upon him) went (to relieve himself), he would go far away.

Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: I was with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) on a journey. Whenever he (peace and blessings be upon him) intended to relieve himself, he would go far away until no one could see him (peace and blessings be upon him). We stopped in an open land in which there was neither a landmark nor a tree (a desert or the like). He (peace and blessings be upon him) said to me: "O Jabir! Take the vessel and come with me." I filled the water vessel, and we walked on foot until we were no longer near enough to be seen. There were two trees standing apart. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Jabir! Go and tell this tree: 'The Messenger of Allah says to you: Join your companion (tree), so that I may sit behind the two of you.'" I said it just as he (peace and blessings be upon him) had said. The tree moved and joined its companion tree. He (peace and blessings be upon him) sat behind them and relieved himself.
