أَخْبَرَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الرُّوذْبَارِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ، ثنا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، ثنا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ، وَهِشَامُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ، عَنْ حَرِيزِ بْنِ ⦗١٠٧⦘ عُثْمَانَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ مَيْسَرَةَ، عَنِ الْمِقْدَامِ بْنِ مَعْدِيكَرِبَ، قَالَ: رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تَوَضَّأَ، قَالَ: وَمَسَحَ بِأُذُنَيْهِ بَاطِنِهِمَا وَظَاهِرِهِمَا ". زَادَ هِشَامٌ: أَدْخَلَ أُصْبُعَيْهِ فِي صِمَاخَيْ أُذُنَيْهِ.
Sayyiduna al-Miqdam bin Ma'dikarib (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) performing ablution. (Then, describing the manner of ablution,) he said: He (peace and blessings be upon him) wiped the outer and inner parts of his ears.
Hisham (may Allah have mercy on him) added these words: He (peace and blessings be upon him) inserted his fingers into the holes of his ears.

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، أنا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ الْفَقِيهُ، ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الذُّهْلِيُّ، أنا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى، أنا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَقِيلٍ، عَنِ الرُّبَيِّعِ بِنْتِ مُعَوِّذِ ابْنِ عَفْرَاءَ " أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تَوَضَّأَ فَأَدْخَلَ أُصْبُعَيْهِ فِي أُذُنَيْهِ ".
It is narrated from Rubayyi' bint Mu'awwidh bin Afra' (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performed ablution and inserted his fingers into his ears.
وَأنبأ الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْفَقِيهُ، ثنا أَبُو بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ، ثنا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، ثنا وَكِيعٌ، ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَقِيلٍ، فَذَكَرَهُ بِنَحْوِهِ، وَقَالَ: أُصْبُعَيْهِ فِي جُحْرَيْ أُذُنَيْهِ.
Abdullah bin Muhammad bin Aqil (may Allah have mercy on him) narrated a report like the previous hadith, and said: His (peace and blessings be upon him) fingers were in the holes of his ears.
