It is narrated from Sayyidah Umm Atiyyah al-Ansariyyah (may Allah be pleased with her) that when the daughter of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed away, he (peace and blessings be upon him) came to us and said: "Wash her with water and lote-tree leaves, and wash her an odd number of times, that is, three times, five times, or more than that if it is needed, and at the end apply camphor, or (he said) a little camphor."

Sayyidah Umm Hani bint Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with her), describing the story of the Conquest (of Makkah), said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came, and there was dust on his face (peace and blessings be upon him). He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Fatimah! Put out water for me to bathe." She put out water in a large vessel in which there were traces of dough, and screened him (peace and blessings be upon him). He (peace and blessings be upon him) took a ritual bath and prayed eight rak'ahs.
It has also been said: from Mujahid, from Abu Fakhitah, from Umm Hani; and what we have narrated, despite its being mursal (with a break in the chain), is more correct.

It is narrated from Sayyidah Umm Hani (may Allah be pleased with her) that she disliked performing ablution with water in which pieces of bread are floating.
If this narration is authentic, then she meant only when the bread dominates the water so that it is attributed entirely to the bread, that is, it no longer remains water.
