Bayhaqi 9890 — The compensation for the dabb lizard

Tariq says that Arbad trampled a lizard (dabb) on its back and injured it, then he came to Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him). He asked him, and Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) asked: What is your view? He said: A young goat which has come to combine water and trees. Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: That is what is due for it.
