Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him), describing the Hajj of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), said: Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) took the middle road that leads out to the Great Jamrah, until he came to the Jamrah that is near the mosque, and threw seven pebbles, saying the takbir with each pebble; they were small pebbles like those used for khadhf (flicking). He stoned from the middle of the valley, then went back to the place of sacrifice.
