Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) performed tawaf of the House, he walked briskly for three rounds and slowly for four, and Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) also used to do so. And when he went between Safa and Marwah, he would run in the bed of the valley (Batn al-Masil). Ubaydullah said: I said to Nafi': When Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) reached the Yemeni Corner, would he walk? He said: No, except when there was a crowd there, for he would not leave the Corner without touching it.
