Sayyidah Asma' bint Abi Bakr (may Allah be pleased with her) says: We set out with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) to perform Hajj. The baggage of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and that of Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) was together, and our baggage was with the slave of Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him). She says: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) sat down, and Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) sat on one side of him, and Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) sat on the other side of him (peace and blessings be upon him), and I sat beside my father. We were waiting for his slave and that baggage, for when he would arrive. Then the slave came walking, and he did not have the camel with him. Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) said to him: "Where is your camel?" He said: "It went missing last night." She says: Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) got up and began beating him, saying: "You have lost even one camel, and what kind of man are you!" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did nothing more than smile (peace and blessings be upon him) and say: "Look at this muhrim and what he is doing."
