(a) Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: A man stood up before the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and asked: "Who is the pilgrim?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The dishevelled one, unperfumed and dusty." Another stood up and asked: "What is the 'way' (sabil)?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Provision and a mount." Another stood up and asked: "Which Hajj is best?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Raising the voice (in the talbiyah) and shedding the blood (of sacrifice)."
