وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الْقَطِيعِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ، حدَّثَنِي أَبِي، فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ بِإِسْنَادِهِ نَحوَهُ، وَزَادَ وَأَنَّ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهَا حَاضَتْ، فَنَسَكَتِ الْمَنَاسِكَ كُلَّهَا غَيْرَ أَنَّهَا لَمْ تَطُفْ بِالْبَيْتِ، فَلَمَّا طَهُرَتْ طَافَتْ، قَالَتْ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، أَتَنْطَلِقُونَ بِحَجَّةٍ وَعُمْرَةٍ، وَأَنْطَلِقُ بِالْحَجِّ؟، فَأَمَرَ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ أَنْ يَخْرُجَ مَعَهَا إِلَى التَّنْعِيمِ، فَاعْتَمَرَتْ بَعْدَ الْحَجِّ فِي ذِي الْحَجَّةِ.
Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) said that during this Hajj journey Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) began menstruating, so she performed all the rites of Hajj except that she did not perform tawaf of the House. When she became pure, she performed tawaf and said: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! Will you all go back having performed both Hajj and Umrah while I go back having performed only Hajj? So he (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered Abd al-Rahman bin Abi Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) to take her to al-Tan'im, and she performed Umrah after Hajj, in Dhul-Hijjah itself.
