أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، ثنا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، ثنا مُسَدَّدٌ، ثنا يَحْيَى، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ يُخْبِرُنَا، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِامْرَأَةٍ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ قَدْ سَمَّاهَا ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ وَنَسِيتُ اسْمَهَا: " مَا مَنَعَكِ أَنْ تَحُجِّي مَعَنَا الْعَامَ "، قَالَتْ: يَا نَبِيَّ اللهِ إِنَّهُ كَانَ لَنَا نَاضِحَانِ فَرَكِبَ أَبُو فُلَانٍ وَابْنُهُ لِزَوْجِهَا وَابْنِهَا نَاضِحًا وَتَرَكَ نَاضِحًا نَنْتَضِحُ عَلَيْهِ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " فَإِذَا كَانَ رَمَضَانُ فَاعْتَمِرِي فَإِنَّ عُمْرَةً فِي رَمَضَانَ تَعْدِلُ حَجَّةً " رَوَاهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ عَنْ مُسَدَّدٍ وَرَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ حَاتِمٍ عَنْ يَحْيَى الْقَطَّانِ.
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to a woman of the Ansar: "What prevented you from performing Hajj with us this year?" She said: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! My husband and my son rode off on one camel, and only one camel is left, with which we draw water. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Then when Ramadan comes, perform Umrah, for an Umrah in Ramadan is equal to a Hajj."
