أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ الْقَطَّانُ، بِبَغْدَادَ، أنبأ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، ثنا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ، ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْمُنْذِرِ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ نَافِعٍ، حَدَّثَنِي نَافِعُ بْنُ أَبِي نُعَيْمٍ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ مَوْلَى عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ: " كَانَتِ الْحُدَيْبِيَةُ سَنَةَ سِتٍّ بَعْدَ مَقْدِمِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْمَدِينَةَ فِي ذِي الْقَعْدَةِ وَكَانَتِ الْقَضِيَّةُ فِي ذِي الْقَعْدَةِ سَنَةَ سَبْعٍ وَكَانَ الْفَتْحُ فِي رَمَضَانَ سَنَةَ ثَمَانٍ ثُمَّ خَرَجَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ فَوْرِهِ إِلَى حُنَيْنٍ وَالطَّائِفِ فَلَمَّا رَجَعَ فِي شَوَّالٍ اعْتَمَرَ مِنَ الْجِعْرَانَةِ ثُمَّ حَجَّ عَتَّابُ بْنُ أَسِيدٍ فَأَقَامَ لِلنَّاسِ الْحَجَّ اسْتَعْمَلَهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى الْحَجِّ ثُمَّ حَجَّ أَبُو بَكْرٍ سَنَةَ تِسْعٍ اسْتَعْمَلَهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ثُمَّ حَجَّ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سَنَةَ عَشْرٍ مِنْ مَقْدِمِهِ الْمَدِينَةَ وَهِيَ حَجَّةُ الْوَدَاعِ " وَفِي هَذَا دَلَالَةٌ عَلَى أَنَّ أَمْرَ الْفَتْحِ وَاسْتِعْمَالَ عَتَّابِ بْنِ أَسِيدٍ ثُمَّ اسْتِعْمَالُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ فِي سَنَةِ تِسْعٍ، ثُمَّ حَجُّهُ سَنَةَ عَشْرٍ مَا قَالَهُ الشَّافِعِيُّ رَحِمَهُ اللهُ وَهُوَ مَشْهُوَرٌ فِيمَا بَيْنَ أَهْلِ الْمَغَازِي مَذْكُورٌ فِي الْأَحَادِيثِ الْمَوْصُولَةِ مُفَرَّقًا.
Nafi' (may Allah have mercy on him), the freed slave of Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both), said: The event of Hudaybiyah took place in the month of Dhu al-Qa'dah, six years after the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came to Madinah; its make-up (Umrah) was performed in Dhu al-Qa'dah of the seventh year; and the conquest of Makkah took place in Ramadan of the eighth year. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) immediately went to Hunayn and Ta'if. When he returned in Shawwal, he entered ihram for Umrah from al-Ji'ranah and performed Umrah. Then Sayyiduna Attab bin Asid (may Allah be pleased with him) led the people in Hajj; the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) had appointed him over the Hajj. Then in the ninth year Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) led the Hajj; he (peace and blessings be upon him) had appointed him as well. Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) performed Hajj in the tenth year after arriving in Madinah, and that was the Farewell Hajj.
