Sayyiduna Bishr bin Qudamah al-Dibabi (may Allah be pleased with him) says: My eyes saw my beloved, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), with the people on the plain of Arafat, riding a red she-camel, al-Qaswa', with a Bulani cloth beneath him, and he was saying: 'Allahumma ij'alha hajjatan ghayra ri'a'in wa la haba'in wa la sum'ah' (O Allah, do not make this Hajj one of showing off or seeking fame, and do not let it go to waste). And the people were saying: "This is the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)." Sa'id bin Bashir says: I asked Abdullah bin Hakim: "O Abu Hakim, what is al-Qaswa'?" He said: "The one whose ears are clipped; the ears of she-camels are clipped so that they hear better."
