حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ إِمْلَاءً، أنبأ أَبُو سَعِيدٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ الْبَصْرِيُّ بِمَكَّةَ، ثنا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الدُّورِيُّ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَمَّادٍ، ثنا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ، عَنْ أَبِي زُهَيْرٍ الضُّبَعِيِّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ بُرَيْدَةَ الْأَسْلَمِيِّ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " النَّفَقَةُ فِي الْحَجِّ كَالنَّفَقَةِ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ سَبْعِينَ ضِعْفًا ".
Sayyiduna Buraydah al-Aslami (may Allah be pleased with him) says: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Spending in Hajj is like spending in the path of Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, (multiplied) seventy times."
