أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ فُورَكٍ، أنبأ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، ثنا يُونُسُ بْنُ حَبِيبٍ، ثنا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، ثنا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ حُرَيْثٍ، سَمِعَ ابْنَ عُمَرَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ فِي لَيْلَةِ الْقَدْرِ: " تَحَرَّوْهَا فِي الْعَشْرِ الْأَوَاخِرِ فَإِنْ ضَعُفَ أَحَدُكُمْ أَوْ عَجَزَ فَلَا يَغْلِبَنَّ عَلَى السَّبْعِ الْبَوَاقِي ". أَخْرَجَهُ مُسْلِمٌ فِي الصَّحِيحِ مِنْ حَدِيثِ غُنْدَرٍ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ.
Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about Laylat al-Qadr that he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Seek it in the last ten (nights); and if one of you becomes weak or unable, let him not be overcome in the remaining seven."
