Simak narrates from the grandson of Umm Hani (may Allah be pleased with her), who narrates from his grandmother and heard it from her. She said: On the day of the Conquest of Makkah a drink was brought to him (peace and blessings be upon him), and he drank. Then he gave it to me and I drank from it, although I was fasting; I disliked returning his (peace and blessings be upon him) leftover. Then I said: O Messenger of Allah, I was fasting, but I disliked returning your (peace and blessings be upon him) leftover. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said to her: "Were you making up a fast you owed?" I said: No. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Then there is no harm."
(Abu al-Walid said that Harun narrated from Umm Hani (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to her: "Were you making up a fast?" She said: No. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Then there is no harm to you.")
