أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، ثنا أَبُو بَكْرٍ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْفَقِيهُ، ثنا بِشْرُ بْنُ مُوسَى، ثنا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ، ثنا سُفْيَانُ، ثنا الْأَعْمَشُ، فَذَكَرَهُ. بِإِسْنَادِهِ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " اغْتَسَلَ مِنَ الْجَنَابَةِ فَغَسَلَ فَرْجَهُ بِيَدِهِ، ثُمَّ دَلَكَ بِهَا الْحَائِطَ، ثُمَّ غَسَلَهَا، ثُمَّ تَوَضَّأَ وُضُوءَهُ لِلصَّلَاةِ فَلَمَّا فَرَغَ مِنْ غُسْلِهِ غَسَلَ رِجْلَيْهِ ". رَوَاهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ فِي الصَّحِيحِ، عَنِ الْحُمَيْدِيِّ.
Al-A'mash narrated with the same chain that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) took the ritual bath for janabah (major impurity): he washed his private part with his hand, then rubbed it on the wall, then washed it, then performed ablution as for prayer; and when he had finished his bath, he washed his feet.
