Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "We, the community of Prophets, have been commanded to hasten our breaking of the fast, to delay our suhur, and to place our right hands over our left in the prayer."
This hadith is known through Talhah bin Amr al-Makki, and he is da'if (weak); and there is disagreement in what is narrated from him. It has also been narrated through other weak routes from Abu Hurayrah and Ibn Umar. It is also reported from Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) as her own statement, in which it says that three things are part of prophethood, and then she mentioned them; and this is the most authentic of what has been reported on this.
